Data Collection for Academic Survey on Telemedicine Adoption Behaviour
An overview:
Aarti Singh (PhD Scholar at IIM Sambalpur in the Operations Management area) is leading this academic research study on Telemedicine Adoption Behaviour. Through online survey management platform the researcher was looking to understand the awareness, experience, and expectations of Indian consumers towards the ecosystem of telemedicine.
About Telemedicine:
Telemedicine is a general term that covers all the ways you and healthcare professionals can use technology to communicate without being in the same room. It includes phone calls, video chats, emails, and text messages. With the lockdown coming in, the need for telehealth consultation has seen a rising graph. And hence, researchers have started taking research initiatives on how to make it better and more effective.
What the researcher was looking for:
Participants who have used telemedicine
Participants from Tier 1 & Tier 2 cities only
Getting relevant responses within time
A survey platform that should fit in the budget
How our Survey Management Platform helped:
ThinkSurvey was able to reach out to participants who have used telemedicine at least once. A total of 212 participants, who were found eligible for this study, participated and answered all the questions successfully.
From the collected data, the researcher was able to answer some important questions like – awareness and experience while using telemedicine, ease of use and understandability of telemedicine, consumer’s hesitation or proactiveness towards providing personal data on such apps & platforms, benefits of using telemedicine, etc.
